Ink printability and dry back

To print according to standard is what we always try to achieve. Whether it concerns industry standards like ISO 12467-2 and GRACoL G7 or any in-house standard, you simply need to do the best job possible.

One of the things you might want to do before you start that big production is to check if the supplied inks really match the standard on the substrate. Also, if you are printing in offset, the press operator typically measures wet inks while the QA manager (and the customer) measure the dried results.

PressView’s Printability module lets you analyze your ink’s response curve (density/delta-E) and it calculates the dry back for your inks. Use it to report back to the ink manufacturer on supplied quality and to help the press operator determine how to print those wet inks to match a dried standard!
